Overweight and obesity problem is out of proportion in United States. Because being overweight causes many health problems, researchers predict that first time since Civil War, the life span of current generation is shorter than preceding one. Among those who regularly practice kendo, I don’t see any overweight or obese people. I am slightly overweight because I love to eat and drink beer especially after practices.

Beer tastes heavenly after practices. Practicing kendo will help you to maintain good or ideal weight level to be a healthy person. It also helps you mentally and spiritually. Kenshis are more alert, active and happy. Let’s have a healthy and happy life through practicing kendo.
